    A nice production.

One of the better television shows when it comes to Manson. This was done in the mid-90's. Patricia Krenwinkel and Leslie Van Houten are interviewed from prison and they tell about their memories of Manson and murder. The interviews were not produced for this show. They used the Diane Sawier interviews from 1994. Thy just cut them differently this time and use stuff from them which they did not use in the original production. They complete cut Sawier out of the picture. A&E is an ABC Network so I guess it's OK. They do have original interviews with a psychologist and Manson's parol4e officer, Vincent Bugliosi and others.

The Diane Sawier special was much better though. There was a good part in it when Sawier brings a VCR and a TV to Manson and plays for him a segment from Pat's and Leslie's interviews. So in a sense Manson is seeing his girls for the first time in 25 years. When he see's Patricia he says "She got old on me" The Dianne Sawier ABC's Turning Point Special is not available on video or DVD. It was originally broadcast on the 25th anniversary of the Tate-LaBianca murders in 1994. Only parts of the interviews with Krenwinkel, Manson and Van Houten are shown.
