Indian theatre, cinema, and television actor Kirron Kher is also a TV talk program host.
Her parents are Jatt Sikhs, and she was raised in Chandigarh, Punjab, where she completed her high school education and later attended Panjab University in Chandigarh for college.
She was born in Mumbai. She played badminton competitively in school, as did her sister Kanwal Thakar Singh, winner of the Arjuna Award. When Diljit Singh was a college student in pre-partition Punjab, she was also involved in athletics and drama.
Kirron Kher is an Indian political leader, singer, actress for stage, screen, and television, as well as a television host. She is a member of the Indian National Congress, or BJP.
