Cherise Booth (she/her) is an award winning actress with work in various mediums including Live Theatre, Film, TV, Commercials, Voice Over for Audiobooks, Animation, Video Games and Commercials. She was seen as Undine in Signature Theatre’s highly acclaimed revival of Lynn Nottage’s Fabulation, Or The Re-Education Of Undine for which she won her second Obie Award for Performance (Lucille Lortel Nom. Outstanding Revival, Drama Desk Nom. Outstanding Revival of a Play). Her first Obie was awarded for her performance in Kirsten Greenidge’s Milk Like Sugar (Playwrights Horizons/WP Theater/La Jolla). She may be best known for originating the role of Josephine in Lynn Nottage’s Pulitzer Prize winning play Ruined (Goodman/MTC). Other Theatre credits include: West Coast premiere of Robert O’Hara’s Barbecue (Geffen, NAACP Theatre Award Best Ensemble Cast), Danai Gurira’s Familiar (Yale Rep), Sarah Treem’s When We Were Young And Unafraid (MTC) and Suzan-Lori Parks’ Father Comes Home From The Wars (Parts 1, 2 & 3) (Public Theater Lab). For her accomplished and extensive work in Regional Theatre, Cherise received a Lunt-Fontanne Fellowship.
